Interim Attestation

Intermediate certification of students is carried out in the form of exams, reports of professional practice, as well as reports on research/experimental research work for .

To carry out the final control by the registrar's office, the points and grades accumulated by the student during the academic period with and indication of the admission rating are entered into the electronic examination sheet in HeRo Space. The assesment of the admission rating to the intermediate certification(exam) is cumulative in nature and consists of assesments of the current progress control and assessments of the boundary control (2 boundary controls during the academic period)

When conducting an intern certification in an academic discipline, the assesment obtained at the exam and the average score of the assessment of the current performance control during the academic period are taken into account.

Admission to the examination session is carried out automatically in HeRo Space in two stages:

1) at the first stage, admission to the examination session is made for students who do not have arrears in tuition fees, academic arears on prerequisites, who are not on academic leave or on long-term treatment;

2) at the second stage, the Registrar's office grants admission to the exam in the discipline based on the admission rating determined by the results of the current and boundery performance controls.

A student who does not have an admission rating of 50 points in the discipline is not allowed to the final control in this discipline.

The development of intermediate control questions is carried out by a teacher leading classes in this discipline and is provided to students no later than two weeks before the start of the examination session.

Intermediate control (exam) is carried out in the following forms:

1) oral exam on tickets;

2) written exam on tickets;

3) exam in the form of computer testing;

4) examination in the form of written testing on paper;

5) combined exam;

6) project protections, presentation, case studies;

Students' academic achievements are evaluated in points on a 100-point scale, in a letter system with a digital equivalent (positive grades from «А» tо «D», and «unsatisfactory» - «FX» and «F»)

In case of receiving an «unsatisfactory» grade corresponding to the  «FX» mark at the final control (exam), the student has the opportunity to retake the final control without re-passing the discipline program on a paid basis. The cost of retaking the exam with «FX» is equal to the approved cost of 1 credit for the current academic period.

In case of receiving an «unsatisfactory», grade corresponding to the «F», the sudent must re-entroll in this discipline in compliance with the principle of their profile and kinship, except for the disciplines of the mandatory component, complete its entire program, complete all tasks, receive admission to the final control in accordance with the established procedure, pass the final control(exam). Re-admission to the academic discipline is carried out only a fee basis in the next academic period or in the summer semester (but no more than 15 additional credits).

Appeal Commission

For the period of the examination session (intermediate attestation), by order of the Rector of the University, an appeal comission is created from among the teachers whose qualification correspond to the profile of the disciplines being appealed. A student who not agree with result of the final control, submits an application for appeal no later than the next working day after the announcment of the exam assessment.

The Appeal Commission must review the application within 24 hours and make an appropriate decision to revise the assessment based on the results of the appeal is entered into the transcript and counted when calculating the GPA.
